Paul Thomsen was born in Darwin in 1968 and the bush has been a love of his from a very young age. He has been photographing the amazing nature of the TopEnd for over 35 years and has been doing it professional for over 10 years.
In the last few years he started doing his photography and tours full-time.
He is well known throughout the Darwin region and is one of the leading photographers in the area. His prints, calendars, workshops, mentoring and tours have been enjoyed by many both local and beyond.
He has lived in the TopEnd region all his life and as a person proud of his indigenous heritage understands the bush and the creatures throughout. His work is a testament to his ability to get intimate with creation and his style brings the viewer into the world of the subject – and this is always his goal.
