A Gormet Wildlife Experience
“True immersion is not just about geography. It is about the space, the sounds, the flavours, the knowledge and the players. It is Birds, Buggies, Breakfast & Airboat”
A day I will never forget
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left this was a day of highlights and memories. To sit quietly on the deck at Finniss River Lodge looking out at the vast outback station was the perfect way to enjoy the gormet breakfast prepared by the dedicated inhouse chef. Absolutely delicous !! From there the buggy ride in and around the station discovering the wildlife and learning about all aspects of the station and wildlife found within made us feel like we had been there forever and were part of the family. What a day. What a place !

Stretching from the coast the property comes 25 km inland and includes within its boundaries coastal beaches, mangrove systems, woodlands, rivers, wetlands, estuaries and much more. Together these features present the perfect opportunity to explore the magnificent wildlife of the Top End.
This is the ultimate Top End Taste Safari.
on Arrival
Meet the team and sit down for a gormet breakfast snack and discussion about the day ahead. Once sated it will be time to get out and about. Your guide will first take you through the safety briefing before getting into the buggy and your adventure. Key to remember is that we may come face to face with crocodiles, buffaloes, snakes and all things wild so it pays to be prepared.
Buggy Tour
The next 2 hours you will wind your way through the station landscapes with plenty of time to sit and watch the wildlife as it geos about its business. Throughout you will learn about the stations history and also the natural history that you pass through. For those keen to learn about bush foods and uses of some of the plants then this is the perfect opportunity to let that come out.
30 Minute Air Boat ride
On completion of your buggy tour you can then enjoy a spot of lunch before jumping on the adrenaline boat for a 30 minute air boat ride across the floodplains of the station. Your guide will take you out and beyond to the wild places only reachable by such a craft and get you up close to some of the more charismatic members of the food chain.
