Day 1

Darwin to Kakadu National Park

Enjoy a sleep in as we arrive around 7.30 am to pick you up for your journey to Kakadu. Travel via the Stuart Highway South to the township of Adelaide River where we pause for morning tea and an enlightening visit to the unique and inspiring WWII Memorial Cemetery.  Next we continue on to Pine Creek, the site of the first gold rush in the NT and home to the steam train of the ‘We of the Never Never’ fame.

Lunch will be taken at a local cafe (at own expense) before continuing on to the heart of Kakadu.

Arriving in Kakadu, mid afternoon get settled in to your accommodation and freshen up.  At this point you can choose to undertake a short journey to Nawurlanja lookout and a magnificent twilight experience watching the golden colors of sunset radiate from the ancient Arnhem escarpment OR join the award winning Yellow Waters Sunset Wildlife Cruise*.

With the setting of the sun we return to our accommodation for dinner at the in-house restaurant (at own expense) and a comfortable nights rest.

Incredible two-day tour to Kakadu

Incredible two-day tour to Kakadu with Rob. Probably the best experience I've had in Australia, loved seeing the animals, views and enjoying it's unique environment. Rob's tour had such special touches - the breakfast by the billabong was a highlight, especially the warm croissants! Thank you Rob, this will remain an amazing memory in 2020!
