Best Litchfield Day Tour EVER.

If we had the chance to give a better rank than excellent, we would do that.

Excellent it is not enough to describe the value of such experience from the place visited, the tales of Rob, the delicious food, the high care of any small detail that makes this a magic day.

Thanks again for such a wonderful experience.

Dry season – LITCHFIELD DAY TOUR ITINERARY*

Begin your small group Litchfield National Park tour with pickup from your Darwin accommodation around 7:30 am. Journey south in Mercedez comfort along the Stuart Highway to the crystal clear waters of Berry Springs.

BERRY SPRINGS NATURE RESERVE

Fringed by monsoon rainforest this is a biological hotspot with heavenly natural springs to match. From the depths of the earth the clear geothermal waters rise to the surface and cascade over a small waterfall. This creates the perfect opportunity to sit and enjoy a relaxing water massage whilst savoring homemade mango muffins and morning coffee.

Afterwards, paddle or swim around and watch the abundant aquatic wildlife.  Perhaps you may rather just sit casually under the waterfall or go for a serene rainforest stroll along the creek.  Leaving this piece of heaven we set our sights on the historic township of Batchelor, the gateway to Litchfield National Park . Along the way get to know the landscape and history of the Top End and Adelaide River Region before arriving at the historic township of Batchelor.

BATCHELOR

In Batchelor we take the time to visit the local museum. This community run feature showcases many personal stories of the people and events which shaped the NT such as WWII, uranium mining, farming and general lives of those that pioneered the region and the first nation people of the region also.

It also offers an exclusive venue to enjoy our picnic lunch in comfort and ease.

LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK

After lunch it is time to explore Litchfield National Park . Known for its diversity and abundance of great waterfalls such as Florence Falls, Wangi Falls and Tolmer Falls, it also home to unique wetlands, stone country, ravines, gorges, cathedral termites, magnetic termites and much more.

Cascading waterfalls, crystal clear swimming spots, grand viewpoints, endemic plants and animals will be on your list of things to experience as well as taking quiet time where you need.

Enjoy the relaxed pace as your guide tailors the afternoons to suit you.

Quality Litchfield Experience

Ethical Adventure's Litchfield trip exemplifies all of the reasons we prefer small group tours: interaction with the guide and other guests plus a tailored, personalized service. Others have mentioned some of the unexpected add-ons that elevate the experience but above all it's being treated more like a guest than a statistic. It's a premium product but the line about the memory of quality outlasting the thrill of a cheap price is completely accurate..

Perfect day tour for our family

This was the perfect tour for our family of 4 for our first visit to the Top End and to Litchfield National Park . Rob's was informative, not only about the flora, fauna but also the ecological impact of human activity there. The waterfalls were impressive and the swimming areas delightful. We learned about the history of Australia and this region. Everything is taken care of from an early morning pickup, hot mango muffins and coffee, a gourmet lunch with grilled barramundi, and surprise drinks and snack along the way. We highly recommend this experience and look forward to our next visit to Darwin to explore more with this truly special company.

Thankyou Soyoung. Spending the day with your young and engaging family was a treat for me. Talking, exploring and learning from each other is why we established ethical adventures and have hope for the future. Litchfield National Park is the perfect place for such engagement and I do look forward to when we cross paths again. All the best for your travels.

Small group tour, led by knowledgable guide

Thanks for a great day in Litchfield National Park! A lovely small group led by our wonderful guide, Uschi. Uschi is a Darwin local and her knowledge is second to none. Because the group was small, we were able to adapt the itinerary where necessary. We didn't want to get stuck on a bus with a large group of 20 or more people, so this tour was perfect! Oh, and a delicious lunch of fresh barra! Thank you!
