Best Litchfield Day tour ever!

If we had the chance to give a better rank than excellent, we would do that.

Excellent it is not enough to describe the value of such experience from the place visited, the tales of Rob, the delicious food, the high care of any small detail that at the end of the day make magic this day.

Thanks again for such a wonderful experience.

LITCHFIELD DAY TOUR ITINERARY*

Begin your small group Litchfield day tour from Darwin around 7:30 am journeying south to the crystal clear waters of Berry Springs.

BERRY SPRINGS NATURE RESERVE

Join us for a relaxing geothermal massage at Berry Springs first thing in the morning whilst enjoying  homemade mango muffins and morning coffee. Afterwards, paddle around and watch the many fish, sit casually under the waterfall or go for a serene rainforest stroll along the creek. From this piece of heaven we set our sights on the historic township of Batchelor, the gateway to Litchfield National Park. Along the way get to know the landscape and history of the Top End as your local guide lets you in on the past and present before arriving at Batchelor Town.

BATCHELOR

In Batchelor we take the time to enjoy the local Batchelor museum.  This community run feature showcases many personal stories of the people and events which shaped the NT whilst also offering an exclusive venue option for our Wild Barramundi BBQ.

Litchfield

A great day exploring this area with Rob who is very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour and obvious passion for his work and the country. Apparently a little different to usual in that we went to the Wildlife Park first and saw many different birds and animals including nocturnals that we wouldn't normally see but due to the special animal house, which reproduces night conditions ,we could see iconic animals such as the spotted quoll. Lunch at Batchelor which was historically interesting with a great lunch of Barramundi, then on to Lichfield to marvel at this wonderful country. Very comfortable transport in his bus and the small group number was welcome. I have no doubt we wouldn't have seen half of what we did had we traveled independently.
We had a great day and have no hesitation in recommending this as a wonderful 5 star experience.

First class Litchfield day tour

Can totally agree with the reviewer below. This tour was absolute tops thanks to Rob and his vast knowledge and passion for this area. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and when we proceeded onto a tour of the Kimberley with another tour group we were amazed at how much knowledge we already had from listening to Rob. In fact everyone was over us talking about Rob and how great his tour had been!! Would thoroughly recommend anyone to do this tour and see the area in a unique way without the crowds. Rob's personality and and his wife's hospitality (fabulous home baked treats) are a winning combination. Thank you Ethical Adventures.

Fun day in Litchfield

Visited 19/08/2019, great tour with our knowledgeable and fun guide Rob. Went to places we wouldn't have known if we did it by ourselves. Yummy muffins at Berry Springs, informative Batchelor museum and a scrumptious lunch then off to Tolmer falls followed by a refreshing swim at Wangi waterhole finishing up with a delicious afternoon tea at the wetlands. Highly recommended tour thanks again Rob.

Great Litchfield Day

We visit Darwin each year & look for a tour to include each visit. This was my third day trip to Litchfield. The small group size was particularly appealing. The slightly different and interesting schedule was great! Swimming in the warm pools at Berry Springs was a great way to start the day. The warm mango muffins with a cuppa after our swim was delicious! The stop at the Batchelor Museum was really interesting & informative. We were unaware of the notable history of this area. The lunch venue was just perfect for a warm day. The food again was delicious with healthy choices. Onto the Termite Mounds & then Litchfield after lunch. We visited 3 Litchfield locations, all providing a different perspective. Tolmer Falls was a nice walk with great views, Wangi Falls was a relaxing picturesque spot for a swim. Tabletop swamp with a stool & afternoon tea was tranquil & peaceful. A really enjoyable day all round. Rob our driver guide was fabulous! The small but welcome inclusions did not go unnoticed. Warm muffins in the early morning, frozen facecloths to refresh after a walk, frozen orange segments, frozen juice tubes, stools to sit on at the wetlands, iced tea for afternoon tea. All these minor inclusions were really well appreciated by guests. We would highly recommend this day trip for those looking for a trip with interesting variety away from the large bus groups including predominantly swimming & walking.
