best tour we have done
… It was fabulous from go to whoa. Rob was a brilliant guide with his knowledge and enthusiasm being very contagious. Nothing was too much trouble and he created a very close knit group with our fellow travelers … to not do a tour with ethical adventures would be a mistake as it really doesn’t get any better than this …

Wildlife and environments of the Top End
Your NT wildlife and environments tour begins with an early start to catch the magnificent outback sunrise on the floodplains of the mighty Adelaide River. This region is a mecca for NT wildlife and also the perfect place to snack on tea, coffee, and hot, homemade ham and cheese croissants.
Wander through the monsoonal forest learning about native bush foods , medicines and natural resources.
Peer through the paperbark trees out onto the wetland beyond as the water birds go about their business.
Relax and admire the antics of the abundant wildlife that frolic, scamper and glide all around.
The area boasts over 230 species of birds, as well as one of the largest snake populations in Australia to keep them company.
A short journey later and find yourself on a private river cruise on the mighty Adelaide River where you will get up close to crocodiles in their natural state (NOT feeding them chicken or getting them to jump) and learning of the broader Riverine ecosystem and ebb and floe lifecycle dominated by the monsoonal floods.
Enjoy a light lunch during the cruise overlooking mother nature at her wildest.
Making landfall a few hours later it is time to make our way back to the coast for a meander through the mangroves of the northern coastline.
Mangroves are the protectors of the coast and nursery to local favorites such as mud crabs, prawns and barra. Fortunately the NT is blessed with healthy, vibrant examples of this type of ecosystem and there is plenty of opportunities to look closely at the intricate web of life found here before calling it a day.

A wonderful surprise, found at very short notice. Ethical Adventures ticked all the boxes for me. Small groups, informative & nothing was too much trouble! Rob is a delightful tour guide, who cares about the environment. He was very knowledgeable in describing birds, various areas, and environmental issues. Highly recommended!

A well-organised small group that ensured we were introduced to some wonderful aspects of the Northern Territory's natural environment by a passionate tour leader. I was also very impressed by how much care had been taken to ensure that my dietary requirements were met.
